In May 2020 we returned to our city apartment in Cape Town after living in the Klein Karoo for nearly a year.
That year in Oudtshoorn was our first test to see if we could do country life and as it turns out – we took to it like ducks to water.
It took every ounce of mental and emotional strength to return to the city, to our small apartment and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t shed a tear as we drove away from our Karoo sanctuary.
But, we promised ourselves that our return to the city would be a temporary move, and finally the time has come for our next move.

Although this is a relatively small move given that we’re only moving 40 minutes away, and our minimalistic lifestyle makes the actual moving part rather easy, this move represents a much bigger life upgrade.
New home, new adventure
Making this move from a ‘traditional’ setup to a more unconventional setup is a very real representation of the kind of lifestyle we’re intent on building for ourselves and lends itself to the regular adventures we want to introduce into our lives.
